Romeo from London had a brief affair with Juliett – a beautiful young woman from New York – when he was on vacation. It was just for an extended weekend. They spent three glorious nights together making love and exploring Manhattan. They exchanged fon numbers and kept calling each other for a while. Most of the time it was him calling her. Not really listing to Julietts reality-based remarks Romeo continued fantasizing that one day they would meet again and take up where they left off. Six years later he somehow managed it to convince her to meet again. He knew that she got married, divorced and married again by now and had a four year old daughter. But for some reason Romeo didn’t believe it. Reality didn’t fit in his dreams. Joining her for a coffee in Paris he lamented: “I came back because I think you are the woman I want to be married with!” The date ended in an almost screaming fight in a public cafe. She made it clear: while he spent six years of fantazising about their brief romance she continued living her own life, had a series of relationships, got married twice, is raising a child now …

Types of Lovers, #2: The Skeptic and Shy.

A shy person never has a relationship and a sceptic at least it is not a long lasting one. Skeptics actually don’t believe in love. Shy are too shy for love. Being a type 2 lover is a killer for men. The opposite gender can consider themselves lucky, because there’s a man for every woman. Type 2 lovers might be intelligent, funny or charming. But when it comes to the point of no return they mostlikely fall apart – blaming themselves for not being confident enough.

Types of Lovers, #3: The Workoholic.

Type 3 lovers would rather share activities than love. They have high demands for their partners and they are very busy.
Jason is married for 15 years … with his job. At home he has a second office in which he spends most of the evenings while his wife Janis amuses herself with the children or in the gym with her girlfriend. Jason manages it to take her out for dinner at least once a week. But they don’t talk about anything serious. Janis is fine with that. She knows that Jason needs her as a showpiece ofr public occasions, and she actually likes it to be with him when he needs a trophy wife on his arm. Once a year Jason, Janis and her two children go on vacation. But this time away from work does not turn into a time for emotional connection. Instead they run from one activity to the another. At least they come back home with photos – taken to show the world what a wonderful family there make.
